A review of Endless Lift 2 Ultimate Soaring published by Quiet Flyer Magazine

Paul Naton has done it again! This time he provides the soaring enthusiast with images most of us would otherwise never see.

A second in what one would hope is an endless series, Endless Lift II covers nearly all facets of R/C soaring: hand launch, combat, racing, thermal duration, and just fun. The recorded locations are varied West Coast sites: Torrey Pines, Sunset Beach, Wallowa Lake, and more.

The 90-minute DVD is well laid out, with smooth, logical edits and some special effects to add to the enjoyment. The music and narration blend well with the footage. The footage was shot with a Hi-8 camcorder and the video quality is very good. Overall, Paul has produced another great video.

Glider pilots of all flying levels will benefit from watching the pros and amateurs do their thing in Endless Lift II. If you are into slope racing, the smooth and precise flying shown in this production is truly Top Gun. Have you ever seen a glider helicopter? You will in Endless Lift II. How about watching rolls so fast that if you blink you’ve missed three? Have you heard about dynamic soaring? Well, Endless Lift II shows you some. You have to see it to believe it. Endless Lift II even takes you on a gondola ride at Wallowa Lake. Here you will see some spectacular scenery and aerotowing in a real alpine soaring setting.

Those who purchase Endless Lift II will watch it over and over. It will let you preview a wide variety of models, watch and learn from the pros, and feel the magic of soaring. This can all be done when you’re homebound, dreaming of “endless lift”.

"I got my Endless Lift video today. Awesome!!! This video really is top of the line. Don't miss it. Thanks Paul and Radio Carbon Art” ---Tom

I could spend lots of time and take up a lot of bandwidth going on and on about the merits of Paul's new Endless Lift II, but instead let me just say, that as a professional imaging specialist for the Gov.. I was extremely impressed by the entire production of this video. The camera work, scene continuity, subject matter, editing and music, are the best representation of this type of video that I have seen to date. The onboard camera coverage is the closest thing to being there. Been there and know. In closing, get it, enjoy it, you won't see better. ----Gordon Cottrill

"Way cool. Buy it. A step big up from the first one which was great! I especially liked Scott H's smoke trail flights. Sitting close to the TV screen really enhances the effect of the onboard camera shots, got me a bit queasy....Very high quality video, enhanced by a spiritual electronic soundtrack.I AM satisfied!"--Mark Navarre

"Endless Lift II is awesome, well done Paul and everyone else that helped him or flew in the video...wow...my mind is currently overloaded by all the great flying I just saw. Just a satisfied customer, twice." - Jim

Hi Paul, Really great tape. I spent ten years in New York as a commercial photographer. Great camera work. If it was hard not to narrate, you showed great dicipline. Best of success." - Mark

"Great video!! If you only have one soaring video, this is it - it's got a little of everything: slope, thermal, HLG, racing, aerotow, bungee, combat, PSS, DS ... It's what I'll use to show people what R/C soaring is all about. Thanks Paul!----" Glenn Frederick, MD

"Hi Paul! EL2 is GREAT!
Thanks" ---Ren DiLeo

"I just finished viewing Endless Lift II. VERY COOL! Excellent music and editing EL II would be well suited for broadcast on PBS. That would really give this hobby a boost. Keep up the good work Paul." - Tim McCann

"I have received the EL 2 today and I watched it right away. It is really great and it is the best video I had ever seen. I was astonished by the speed of Dynamic Soaring. It's something else and it is unbelievable to see plane broken into pieces just by its velocity! What a skill in showing acrobat so close to the cliff above the sea. So many interesting flights are shown all over through the entire video!I pretty much enjoyed the video and I am going to watch this one over and over again."- Takashi

But now I've gone and done it again. But not in front a just a few guys on the F3B team...no, I had to open my mouth in front of Paul Naton (Endless2)and his damn camera...gad, why me...I've got to learn to keep my mouth shut. Today my buddies at the postal service delivered Paul Naton's Endless 2....Oh my...It is really good! It has that endless summer vibe all over. Paul has done truly an excellent job of editing, applying music and a delightfully personal dialog. The transitions are effortless and seamless. No choppy out of focus blurry stuff here...no sir, this is real good work, worthy of broadcast... "Hey Phil this IS really good stuff" (My wife Chris as we watched) The Video Covers a broad range of subjects: Handlaunch, Dynamic Joe Soaring, Scale Slope, Scale aerotow, F4D towing...yes F4D...Combat, Killer slope racing at Torry and Great shots of Daryl Perkins head to head with the boys at Davenport. Sooo smoooooth and clean...This is the best video of RC Soaring I have seen. Paul, Thank you for a great time..."- Phil Lontz

"The mail man just delivered my copy of Endless Lift II. I immediately stopped the tape that was playing in the VCR (it was Willy Wonka, honest) and inserted ELII. First impressions: Great quality video and great music. The editing is top notch smooth. The music is similar to that in ELI. It really illustrates the grandeur of soaring. I love it. For me personally, this video will be best played late at night when the Zen will be bolstered by the calm, quiet of the night. - Joe S.
